I am Susan Donahue, an artist, poet and writer living in Rogers, Arkansas, a beautiful
town in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. I also design and make jewelry and fabulous hats.
Many of the poems posted here are works in progress. Others have been published. A link is
provided to my daily journal which I confess is not updated each day. It contains announcements of events
and records some of my thoughts regarding matters which may be of interest to friends and family and fellow artists,
writers and poets.
This page may sometimes include notes regarding ticket2write, an online group for professional
writers. It is a group which exchanges ideas on a variety of topics concerning the craft and business of writing. As
a co-founder and moderator of ticket2write, I encourage members to stretch their limits and develop their writing skills.

One of my stories, "Same Time, Next Year" is in the new issue of Voices of the Heartland. It is a nice, high quality
publication which showcases local writers in Iowa and Nebraska. The editor, Tamara Hughbanks, contacted me to tell me the
June issue is now printed, and ready to be mailed! It features 28 pages of stories and poetry submitted by 16 heartland
writers, and it is beautifully illustrated.
Voices will be distributed in Iowa and Nebraska bookstores, but if you want a copy and cannot find one in your local bookstore,
you can order one directly from the publisher at the address below. The price is $10 each. Nebraska residents are asked
to please add 6.5% sales tax (65 cents on $10.)
